The clock has to be high for the inputs to get active. Whenever the clock signal is LOW, the input is never going to affect the output state. T flip flop is modified form of JK flip-flop making it to operate in toggling region. The major applications of T flip-flop are counters and control circuits. The name T flip-flop is termed from the nature of toggling operation. Out of the above types only JK and D flip-flops are available in the integrated IC form and also used widely in most of the applications. The latches can also be understood as Bistable Multivibrator as two stable states. An example is in which each term represents an individual state. I think that may be it.The term digital in electronics represents the data generation, processing or storing in the form of two states. And it also has settings for frequency and voltage. It looks like a AC source but instead of the sine wave, it has square waves.

Could it be a voltage source and a switch, opening and closing the switch causes the square wave? If not, how do I put a clock in multisim and in a real circuit? I ask this because the schematics I've been looking at only shows the clock as square waves or coming straight from something that says "clock". My problem is that what exactly is the source of this clock pulse. I know that data isnt moved until a clock pluse comes along.
